At Perpetual, our designers work with businesses to help design and build great digital experiences. Design can be a lot of work, and we want to help the design community with our knowledge and share some great resources. Our team has created a list of our favorite Figma plugins that can help you with your design journey.
Find and Replace is a simple yet mighty Figma plugin. With this plugin, you can search for texts on all your designs and replace them with a different text using a text editor interface.
We are big advocates of making design accessible for all. The contrast between the text and its background affects people’s ability to perceive information. The Contrast plugin helps in checking the contrast ratios of colors on selected layers. It also provides passing and failing levels based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to help you generate any text-based contrast issues and fix them. You can easily run a scan and find any text layers which might fail accessibility guidelines.
As designers, while focusing on making pixel-perfect digital designs, it is easy to miss typos in the mockups. This plugin tries to solve precisely that problem. With the Write for Figma plugin, you can check your designs for errors and make sure that the content is grammatically clear and free of typos.
A Writer subscription is required to sign into the plugin. Its free plan gives basic spelling and grammar suggestions. Check out its Pro plan if you want advanced writing suggestions and writing style customization.
Why have a different tool for your designs and a different one to generate visual mockups? The Mockup plugin is the easiest and most convenient way to get mockups for your designs presented on multiple devices. Mockup lets you choose a frame and add it to a device of your choice. This plugin has two functions:
The Easometric plugin lets you create isometric layers and groups without manually setting them up. It has top, left, and right perspectives and can be very helpful in presenting and generating assets for your designs.
With more than 100 icon sets and over 100,00 icons, Iconify is the largest library for icons in Figma plugins. You can import icons from Material Design Icons, FontAwesome, Jam Icons, EmojiOne, Twitter Emoji, and many other icons as vector shapes with just a click.
Lorem Ipsum has become the go-to text for placeholder text by designers. But it might not be ideal while showcasing your designs. The Faker plugin generates realistic placeholder texts like names, emails, URLs, headlines, and many more types of placeholder texts. All you need to do is select one or more objects and click on the placeholder text type.
The Blush plugin not only helps boost the creativity of your designs but also brings vibrance to the projects. With its mixable elements, the Blush plugin allows you to seamlessly add customized illustrations to the canvas. This helps you create illustrations that fit your brand and fulfills your project needs.
The Dark Mode Magic plugin helps to transform designs into Dark mode. It automatically generates colors from a light color palette for Dark mode and applies them to your designs.
Anima is a free Figma plugin that enables designers to create interactive high-quality real experiences. It converts Figma designs to HTML/CSS code and generates an interactive website. We think it is a great way to showcase your designs.
At Perpetual, we use these plugins help make our design process more effective and support our work. Hope you will be as excited to use these plugins as we are to share information about them!
