Overview

Adobe is a global leader in digital media renowned for its innovative software solutions, including industry-standard products like Photoshop and Illustrator, which empower professionals in graphic design, video editing, and digital marketing. Content Authority Initiative (CAI) is Adobe’s newest venture that focuses on maintaining credibility and trust as AI continues to evolve how content is created.

CAI approached us to create their public-facing experience to educate, share their tools, and create a community ecosystem. We provided a comprehensive website that introduced CAI to Adobe’s worldwide audience and established themselves as an originator in the AI-acknowledgement space.

Outcome

Our collaboration with CAI resulted in a highly effective Adobe campaign. Content Authenticity Initiative is an authority on the relationship between responsibility and AI-generated content. CAI works with Content Credentials in handling all content manipulation, human or AI, and provides a digital history of all the edits or lack thereof made.

Approach

Our research phase focused on creating a robust website structure and developing user personas to understand the target audience better.

Next, we crafted multiple design concepts for the website, allowing us to select the most suitable direction before finalizing the high-fidelity designs.

We also established a comprehensive design system for the website components, ensuring consistency and scalability, before moving on to the development phase.

Identifying and building for the CAI audience

When searching to find who the Adobe CAI audience is and what they are looking for, it was essential that we conducted further user research. We built user personas in communication with the Adobe team to help define specific behaviors, goals, pain points, and frustrations for different audiences. After iteration, we defined 4 specific personas that all would interact with the CAI website differently, helping inform our designs.

Design
Creating a website that lifts a global brand

Starting with low-fidelity designs, our iterative design process was flexible in allowing room for Adobe’s team to add their commentary to get a product they were happy with. After refining, we created components of the designs to act as building blocks for the website. Allowing for room to grow, we created a design system that encapsulates the heart of Adobe while having a templated structure.

DEvelopment
Using CMS to give the Adobe team creative freedom

We developed the CAI website utilizing Strapi’s CMS platform. After comparing multiple CMS platforms we went with Strapi, as it best suited the Adobe team’s needs and was the most robust. The CAI website has pages, blog posts, authors, email marketing workflows, and content management workflows all set up through Strapi. The website was built with React.js for the front-end development and a modular structure to showcase the components associated with blocks in the CMS.

Impact
Filling a gap in a growing industry

Our collaboration with the Content Authority Initiative (CAI) has firmly introduced Adobe as a leader in advocating for content transparency in the age of AI-generated media.

The newly launched website showcases CAI's secure end-to-end system for the provenance of digital content, utilizing open-source tools and a cross-industry community of adopters.

Through this initiative, Adobe continues to drive the global conversation around responsible AI use, setting new standards for credibility in digital media.
